Wurmbea dioica in the late afternoon sun at our local park.
I haven’t seen them flowering for the last couple of years, but they came up this year, perhaps because of the bit of rain we had.

I love the purple ring on the petals. It seems to say, "Hello bees, please land here!!". Its interesting to see the evidence of spring on the other side of the continent... especially when today was the first cool autumn day over here.

I agree, the ring makes it look like a sort of target.
It is interesting, as you say, to think of the northern hemisphere heading into Autumn. Spring's in full swing here and it's starting to warm up again, which is nice.
